MX6100 Card Issuance System

The Datacard® MX6100™ card personalization system allows you to take the security, efficiency, versatility and profitability of your card issuing program to a new level. Thanks to the wide personalization options with a speed of up to 1,800 cards per hour and reliability, the MX6100 allows to increase efficiency both for an individual operator and for a single production line.

The modular design increases the profitability of the investment by allowing the purchase of a configuration that meets today’s needs, enabling reconfiguration, expansion and adding new capabilities as the needs of the card issuer grow. A single system can consist of up to 28 personalization modules and be equipped with devices for distributing cards (MXD611) and packing them into envelopes (MXi610). The MX6100™ system boasts the widest range of personalization methods available on the market, so you can use it to implement virtually any card design by printing text, color and monochrome graphics, 1D and 2D barcodes, photos, as well as attaching cards to card carriers and inserting them into envelopes. In addition to traditional methods, such as embossing and indent printing, color and monochrome thermal printing, card lamination and encoding data on a magnetic stripe and microprocessor, there are also more modern technologies available:

  • Laser 350 – dual-side laser engraving;
  • Artista VHD Gen2 – high quality retransfer color printing, used to print individual backround design for every card;
  • DurableGraphics – innovative UV-cured thermal printing, that provides extended card durability without lamination;
  • DOD (Drop On Demand) – fast monochrome and color printing, utilizing UV-cured inks;
  • Color Label Printing – printing personalized color labels and placing them on cards.

In addition, the MX6100 can also be equipped with a visual card verification module – Vision Verification – which automatically checks whether the correct cards are used for a given production. In turn, the Quality Assurance module placed at the end of the system checks whether the cards have been personalized correctly, i.e. whether the data printed on the card, recorded on the magnetic stripe and on the microchip are legible and consistent with the source file.
